What a JD Elevators PNG maintenance visit covers

Each scheduled visit is carried out by a trained technician working to a documented checklist. Depending on your maintenance package inclusions, the scope can include:

Mechanical checks: drive system, guide rails, ropes or hydraulic cylinders, brake mechanism, door operator and door panels, buffers, and pit equipment.

Electrical checks: control system, safety circuits, limit switches, lighting, and emergency communications.

Safety device testing: overspeed governor, safety gears, door locking devices, and emergency stop functions.

Condition report: after each visit, JD Elevators PNG provides a written record of work completed and any items that require attention before the next scheduled visit.

How often should a lift be serviced? 

Maintenance frequency depends on the type of lift, its age, usage intensity, and the environment it operates in. Higher-frequency contracts are available for high-traffic installations, and our team can recommend a servicing schedule and package suited to your building.

Depending on which maintenance package is applicable, this can also include 24/7 emergency technical response, averaging under 20 minutes, and our exclusive VR/UPS (Voltage Regulator / Uninterrupted Power Supply) system, which safeguards lift equipment against PNG’s power instability, one of the leading causes of unplanned failures.
