Port Moresby, 30 May 2025 — JD Elevators PNG officially launched its new brand identity at a special event held at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to safe, efficient, and locally empowered elevator solutions across Papua New Guinea.

Previously operating as Orbitz Elevators PNG, the rebrand to JD Elevators PNG reflects a renewed focus on community investment, national capability-building, and long-term industry growth. Jonathan Dwayre, Managing Director and Owner of JD Elevators PNG, shared the company’s vision for the future.

As part of its vision, JD Elevators PNG announced plans to establish a dedicated training college for elevator technicians, creating a pathway for young Papua New Guineans — including women — to gain world-class technical skills and stable employment in the vertical transportation industry. The event showcased current team members, including apprentices and female technicians, who shared how the training and employment opportunity has empowered them to support their families and pursue meaningful careers in a male-dominated field.

Raymond Guy, Country Manager, acknowledged that the company’s success would not be possible without the dedication of its team and the ongoing support from its clients.

Guests at the launch included key clients such as Rangeview Heights Estate, Lamana Development Limited, and the National Parliament, who shared positive feedback on JD Elevators PNG’s responsive support, reliable service, and strong local engagement.
