How the installation process works

1. Site assessment: A JD Elevators PNG engineer visits your building to evaluate shaft dimensions, structural load capacity, electrical supply, and access conditions. This determines the right lift configuration for your project and identifies any civil preparation required. There is no charge for the assessment.
2. Design and specification: Based on the site assessment, our engineers collaborate with your architects, contractors, and developers to prepare a technical specification and layout drawing, covering shaft design, pit depth, load capacity, and energy requirements. These are reviewed and agreed with you before any orders are placed.
3. Importation: Lift components are sourced from established manufacturers and imported into PNG. Lead times depend on the lift type and current logistics conditions; we keep you informed throughout.
4. On-site installation: Trained JD Elevators PNG technicians carry out all installation work. The duration depends on the scope of the project and site readiness. Your project schedule is confirmed after the assessment.
5. Commissioning and handover: Before the lift is handed over, it is tested, adjusted, and inspected to confirm it meets required safety standards. JD Elevators PNG provides operator familiarisation at handover.
